The artist behind the academy
Chhaya Yadav is an engineering graduate with a Diploma in Banking and Finance who spent more than ten years as an Officer with Bank of Baroda before making makeup artistry her profession. She has now worked as a professional makeup artist for more than eight years, has completed more than 600 bridal makeups across traditional, HD and airbrush finishes — including Rajputi and Bengali bridal styles — and has trained more than 1,000 students.
She founded Chhaya Shankar Makeovers, the salon and bridal makeup studio in Jagatpura, and this academy grew out of it: the same artists, the same products and the same brides students learn on.
How she teaches
Batches are capped at 15 students so every student gets hands-on time on real models rather than watching a demonstration. Training covers bridal, HD and airbrush makeup, hair styling and draping, and the academy’s quality management system is ISO 9001:2015 certified. Her approach comes from her own career change: a technique is only learned when a student can repeat it on a stranger’s face, under time pressure, and explain why each step is there.
How our knowledge articles are written and reviewed
The articles on this site are written from professional practice and reviewed by Chhaya before publication. Where a claim concerns skin, product chemistry, hygiene or health, it is checked against authoritative sources and the sources are kept on record. Sections marked From Chhaya Yadav’s experience are professional observations from bridal and teaching work in Jaipur, not stories; we do not invent statistics, awards, reviews or quotes, and we do not copy other publications. Every article shows the date it was last reviewed, and articles are re-reviewed at least once a year or sooner when products or practice change.
